  • The complete Fundamentals series (SBQ 401 through SBQ 453), and the Fundamentals Certification, are available now. Remaining Fundamentals courses are in development.

  • We plan to update the "major industry players" courses in the specialty series approximately once per year.

  • People already in the industry seeking to broaden their knowledge and make themselves bigger contributors to their company, students considering a career in the space industry; people from other fields who are new to the space industry; people already in the industry moving into new areas or more responsible positions; technical staff wishing to learn more about business aspects of the space industry.

  • Certificates and letters of completion will be automatically available in your student account on the learning system.

  • There is no set schedule. All courses and exams are delivered online at your own pace and will be available 24/7/365. You can start, pause, and resume your courses at any time.

  • Courses are delivered over the internet and are available to all countries except as limited by any applicable U.S. export law and trade restrictions.

  • We estimate 2-10 hours per course. You proceed at your own pace.

  • You will begin with the SBQ Fundamentals Certification; from there, you may choose from the SBQ Satcom/Broadcast Business Certification, the SBQ Launch and Spacecraft Business Certification, and the SBQ Earth Observation, Navigation, and Science Business Certification.

  • There are no formal prerequisites, but you should have a good command of written English and an understanding of general business concepts.

  • 1. If you will be using a credit card for tuition payment for an individual, go to spacebq.org and look for the Enroll link. This will take you to the learning system where you can use your existing GVF/SatProf student account (or if you don't already have one, create an account), then choose your course/cert bundle, and add to cart. The student name does not need to be the credit card holder.

    2. If you are using wire transfer or Western union, or if you wish to order multiple seats and/or you are eligible for a discount, or if you otherwise need a quotation, use the Contact Us form and include the details.

  • The Fundamentals series covers orbits and getting into space, spacecraft, communications links, and space business fundamentals, all from a non-technical perspective. The follow-up specialty courses cover satellite communications, satellite broadcast, launchers, spacecraft markets, earth observation, navigation, and space science.

  • Three years.

  • You will retake the online certification exam, in its latest revision, for your recertification. For specialty certifications, you must also take the latest edition of the "key players" course for each specialty.

  • Discounts are available if you order 10 or more seats or if you are a GVF or SSPI member.

  • We accept credit cards, wire transfers, and Western Union prior to enrollment. For approved customers, we also accept purchase orders.

  • Yes, but only for the first 30 days and only if you have not completed a course or obtained a certification. If you drop the course and a refund is issued, your student transcript will be deleted.

  • Yes. Students may not share an account. Account sharing is a violation of terms of service and will result in all affected students being unenrolled, and no refunds given.

  • Only if the first student has not begun work on the course.

  • No. Each individual student must have their own account.

  • Yes, provided your enrollment has not expired. You will have three years of access after you enroll. You will be able to review all learning content but once you have passed the course quizzes you will not be able to retake them. You will be able to extend your access for another three years with each Renewal license purchase.

  • Exam retakes are free. You will get an instant automatic retake if you fail an exam; if you fail another time, you will need to email a request for the exam to be reset.
